Vrushalee Schoenmakers has gained much clinical experience in India, in the management of cases of ADHD, Autism, Learning Disorders and other such conditions with homoeopathy.
During the past 12 years Vrushalee has treated many general paediatric as well as adult cases in her own private practice. Her homoeopathic practice reflects her training for her MD (Hom) in Mumbai as well as with the Institute of Clinical Research in India and her experiences with teachers such as Dr Dixit, Dr Dhawale and others. She now lectures at Endeavour College of Natural Health, Brisbane.

May 2010.HERA's 29th Intensive with Dr. Dilip Dixit and Dr Niri Pandit will be held at Woodlands Sanctuary in Gruyere, near Lilydale. Dates are yet to be confirmed. Dr. Dixit is a consulting physician with the Institute of Clinical Research (ICR), a homeopathic association which evolved from a study group founded by Dr. L.D. Dhawale in 1931. His son, Dr. M.L. Dhawale wrote the "Principles & Practice of Homeopathy", a seminal text which was published in 1967. Dr. Dixit was one of Dr. Dhawale's foremost students. The ICR today operates 4 homeopathic hospitals in India which are both treating and training hospitals, and many of us in HERA have visited these hospitals for Intensive training programs. Dr Dixit will be assisted by Dr Niri Pandit , from India via Brisbane, who facilitated the 2008 Intensive, and enhanced the learning we received hugely. Niri is ICR trained, young and enthusiastic. She worked tirelessly last year to ensure that all attendees understood all aspects of both the pathophysiological and the homoeopathic dimensions of each case The Format of the Intensive: Friday will highlight complex cases of complicated pathophysiology and multi-faceted resolutions. Saturday will have a paediatric slant, with illustrative cases of children's Respiratory tract and G.I.T. conditions. Kid's cases are shorter (and sweeter), so we expect to cover quite a few remedies and conditions both acute and chronic. On Sunday, we will be looking at the ongoing management of homoeopathic treatment, and cases will illustrate the myriad aspects of posology, what happens when..., and unexpected responses etc. As a profession with few formal treatment guidelines, we can take years to unravel these matters unless we have guidance. We hope that we will all come away with a better understanding of why we do what we do, and what to do if it goes a bit pear-shaped. Each case that we study is carefully chosen to highlight one or more aspects of homoeopathic principles and practice. The whole group works together on each case, and the data projector ensures that everybody knows exactly what is going on at all times. Group learning is so much more effective than a 10 minute presentation, after which participants may reflect on the cleverness of the physician, but will struggle to remember any details after a few days. All the workings will be available to all attendees - just bring a data stick. The venue is a lovely country property with a large, warm central meeting room and bedrooms of varying sizes. There are lovely walks around the property, and a decent coffee-shop 10 minutes drive away. All meals & snacks are provided. It is a great experience to work, eat and relax together as a group. Attendance Options: Residential + Non-residential options for attendance. Come for 1, 2 or 3 days. Time: Morning sessions begin at 9.30am. Come a bit earlier for breakfast and a chat. Lunch is served at 1.15 pm. Afternoon session from 1.45 - 6.00 pm. Dinner at 6.30pm. Evening session from 7.30 pm. Location: Woodland Lodge, 3 Woodland Way, Gruyere, (Melway ref. Map 119) Cost : 3 day Residential - includes all meals and accommodation - $515.00 Bring books and a USB drive. Please contact Jenny Dineen on (03) 9415 1191 or e-mail hera.secretary@iinet.net.au for more details. Intensive Training ProgramsA 2 week Intensive Training Program at the M.L.
